Hooray for Friday. I have a few news items for everybody before we call it a week, and man it was a long one lol. First up, this morning American Pinball changed its logo on its Facebook page this morning. The new-look logo is a little simpler than the previous one that they last shared a couple of weeks ago. As stated in my interview with the new owner Bryan Vincent several weeks ago and recently confirmed, AP will have a booth and give a presentation at the upcoming Texas Pinball Festival so hopefully we will find out more information on the Company's plans soon. They are currently on the presenters schedule for Friday March 20th from 12:30pm – 1:00pm.
Speaking of the Texas Pinball Festival, while I was looking to see what time American Pinball is presenting at the show, I came across two very interesting descriptions of scheduled presentations. TPF's descriptions of Jersey Jack's and Barrels of Fun's Featured Presentations both seem to hint that they may include information about upcoming games. I hadn't heard that either was revealing anything new at the show, but based on the blurbs below it sounds like it's possible. That would be pretty awesome if one of them does. "Join the team from Jersey Jack Pinball as they showcase their latest innovations and possibly reveal upcoming machines."
"The creative minds behind Barrels of Fun Pinball will share their unique approach to pinball design and manufacturing, with potential announcements about new titles in development."
We've been talking a lot about Stern Pinball's huge release of its latest cornerstone game Pokémon a lot over the past several weeks. Well, it's finally here! Games have started to leave Stern's Elk Grove Village, Illinois factory and arrive on location. I've seen social media posts about three locations that have the game on the floor so far...and I'm sure that there will be a TON more very soon. These three spots are: North End Pub in Lafayette, Indiana ULEK Pinball and Classic Arcade in Monroe, Michigan Pokémon at RLM Amusements in Grand Rapids, Michigan Not only are Pros arriving at arcades, but Stern officially streamed Pokémon gameplay for the first time last night (the Premium / LE model). I have embedded it and pictures of the location games below.
Last up, I have a couple of videos for your weekend viewing pleasure. The first one is another one of the cool "Lost Pins" videos about Capcom Kingpin:
