EXCLUSIVE Info on Upcoming Massive Auction of Pinball and Arcade History...Pictures of Prototypes, Never Released Games & Much More
By knapparcade
I have something really amazing to share with everyone this morning. As someone who loves history, to the point that I've accumulated a collection of just about every pinball and arcade magazine ever published, the following pictures blew my mind when I saw them. Yesterday morning, I had a phone call with Rick from Planetary Pinball, the rightsholder to Bally and Williams. He informed me that Planetary has partnered with Heritage Auctions to sell off a large collection of original pinball and arcade art that Planetary has acquired from various sources over the years. We're talking original paintings and sketches of prototype and never-released versions of art for some of the most iconic games in pinball history. The auction includes some pieces from other sellers as well with concept and original art for pinball and arcade companies of the past including Bally Midway, Capcom, Sega and of course Bally and Williams. The auction is scheduled to go live on Friday, October 10th and run through Wednesday, November 5th. I'm absolutely blown away by the awesome glimpse into the history that this auction is giving everyone and if you're so inclined, you can even own a piece of it yourself. I have included as many pictures as possible below... https://entertainment.ha.com/c/auction-home.zx?saleNo=41198&ic3=ViewItem-Auction-Preview-AuctionHome-071221
