John Wick Enters The Vault; Fallout Pro Pinball Gameplay; TOTAN Launch Party
By knapparcade
Happy Monday everyone. I'm back from yesterday's awesome launch party for Pedretti Gaming's new Tales of the Arabian Nights Remake at the Bartari arcade bar in Scranton, Pennsylvania. I have pictures and video of the event to share in a bit, but first...the news. On Friday afternoon, Stern Pinball announced that it has decided to place its 2024 game John Wick into its proverbial Vault, meaning that it will no longer be produced, at least not for the next several years.Your browser doesn't support HTML5 video. Download the video instead.
Speaking of Stern, they also just announced some new accessories for King Kong: Myth of Terror Island. Well, not exactly accessories but a shadow box and a themed dust cover for the game. The shadow box looks pretty neat.
Oh yeah, one more Stern item. They streamed gameplay of Fallout Pro late last week. I have embedded it below for anyone who wants to check it out:
And now for the party. My friend Joe Newhart of the distributor PinballSTAR Amusements hosted an official launch party for Pedretti Gaming's new remake of the 1996 Williams classic pinball machine Tales of the Arabian Nights at Bartari in Scranton, Pennsylvania. My friend Rob and I made the two hour drive down to the event, which featured not one, not two, but three TOTANs for the public to check out. In addition to being the first TOTAN Remakes on location for people to play, the fun event featured a bellydancer and door prizes. I even won a signed Limited Edition TOTAN translite. A lot of people have been asking me what I thought of the game. To me, it was much better than Pedretti's first Bally Williams remake, FunHouse. The new TOTAN animations were great. The Brian Allen art on the Anniversary version of the game looks amazing in person. I played somewhere between ten and twenty games of the new TOTAN, probably somewhere in the teens. The machines felt solid and I thought played very similar to the original. I can't vouch for the longevity or durability of the games having played them on the first day that they arrived, but I was very pleasantly surprised by what I experienced. If you've never been to Bartari and you're in the NY, NJ, PA area you definitely have to check it out. Its game lineup has expanded significantly since I last visited a couple of years ago. They have tons of great classic vids and 25 pinball machines, including a bunch of the newest ones.
