Spooky Pinball Quarterly Update; Stern Pinball Home Leaderboards are Live
By knapparcade
Happy Halloween! This has been quite a week for pinball and arcade news, I've published an article every single day. If that's not bang for your buck, I don't know what is lol. This afternoon, Spooky Pinball sent out its quarterly update for Q3 2025. The most important thing that we learned in the update is that direct sales of its red hot upcoming game Beetlejuice will begin at 10:00 AM Central Time on November 14th, 2025. Customers who are interested in purchasing a game directly from Spooky Pinball can do so on its website (Link) or by phone (815-541-0054). The Spooky newsletter also showed off the cool 18 x 24 poster by its in-house artist Christopher Franchi that is being sent to 2025 Fang Club Members. Today is the last day to sign up for this year's club. My other takeaway from the Spooky e-mail was the massive amount of work that they have put into code updates this month. A whopping five Spooky pins received new code in October. Highlights of what's new includes: - Evil Dead: Kandarian Demon wizard mode and a new video mode - Looney Tunes: Two new modes: Earthquake Pills and Factory Mayhem - The Texas Chainsaw Massacre: Spooky brought back a feature that hasn’t been seen since the 1980s: the Bonus Ball. For anyone unfamiliar, a bonus ball is an extra timed ball played after the last regular ball drains. - Scooby-Doo: A new mode based on the episode That’s Snow Ghost. They also added a fun side quest to Witch & Zombie. - Halloween: New audio and video - Ultraman: Improvements to the User Interface
Yesterday, Stern Pinball went live with its new Home Leaderboard functionality for Insider Connected All-Access Members. There was reports of intermittent outages in the new service during the first day. Hopefully Stern has gotten that all ironed out. Customers who have questions about the new All-Access should check out its new FAQ page: Stern Pinball Insider Connected Help Also yesterday, Stern dropped a new code update for its latest cornerstone game Star Wars: Fall of the Empire. This update, Version 0.86, is titled "Not a Jedi Yet." It includes a new Mini-Wizard mode by that name and a ton of other changes.
Games of the Day I have two scary pinball machines to share with everyone today. Of course I had to share this one today... 2021 Spooky Pinball Halloween Collector's Edition pinball machine. 1,250 Collector's Edition games were produced. Designed by Spooky Luke and Bug Corwin Emory with art by Jason Edminson. Amazingly, Spooky Pinball continues to add to the code for this game today, with an update this month.
Here's Game 2:
Keeping the scary game theme going...Gottlieb Haunted House widebody pinball machine, released on October 31st 1982.
A whopping 6,835 units produced. Designed by John Osborne with art by Terry Doerzaph and Richard Tracy.
Haunted House was the first pinball machine to have three levels of playfield, with both an upper and a lower.
