Stern Reveals Dungeons & Dragons Accessories Line, Featuring Motorized Mimic Treasure Chest Topper
By knapparcade
Behold Adventurer, the long-awaited Dungeons & Dragons pinball accessories have arrived! I had just finished my article on the new JJP Sonic code when BOOM the D&D accessories dropped. When it rains, it pours :). Stern initially released D&D in January of 2025. We've known for quite some time that the game featured a topper-exclusive unlockable character, "Rowan Freewander." We now know that this new Fighter-class hero includes an Add-A-Ball ability when the player pushes the action button during multiball. The new character has hundreds of custom callouts in the game, recorded by Brendon Small. The topper also unlocks a new Mimic Mania progressive multiball mode. When I first saw the first image of the Treasure Chest Topper, I said to myself "That's it?" BUT...then I saw the video of it in action. The topper opens and closes, sometimes revealing regular treasure and others a toothy Mimic monster. That's actually really cool. Darn you Stern for making me want one for my game. I don't have any other toppers, so I'm going to have to measure the drop ceiling in my basement arcade to see if it will fit lol. The topper's MSRP is $1,799.99. Other accessories revealed for the game include: - a D20 Dice Shooter Knob, similar to the one for Stranger Things ($199.99). This one has a floating "dragon's eye" suspended in a transparent liquid core, lit from behind by LEDs. - Decorative Side Armor ($349.99): - Speaker Expression Lighting System ($199.99) - And Inner Art Blades ($99.99): art blades depicting a classic D&D town by day and by night. Along with the accessories, Stern released new D&D code, Version 1.10. A lot of the update is just to support the new topper and associated modes, but it does contain 10 new achievements and other changes for non-topper owners. https://shop.sternpinball.com/collections/accessories/game-dungeons-dragons?sort_by=manual
